Fenerbahce linked with Johansen swoop

23rd January 2019, 12:48 by Neil Foster

Fenerbahce will move for Fulham midfielder Stefan Johansen in this month’s transfer window, according to reports in Turkey.

The 28-year-old has been with the Cottagers since 2016 after moving from Celtic and made 80 Championship appearances across two seasons, helping the west Londoners reach the Premier League last season.

However, the Norway international has fallen down the pecking order this term, with only four top-flight starts from 12 outings and it may be that his days by the Thames are numbered.

NtvSpor are suggesting that talks between the parties are now under way as the Turkish giants, currently struggling in 15th place in the league, look to strengthen before the window closes next week.

Leicester City’s Adrien Silva is also said to be on Fenerbahce's radar but reports state that Johansen is the man they really want.
