Fulham defender to sit out Gunners test
Fulham defender Calum Chambers will miss the trip to Arsenal as he is ineligible to face his parent club.
Chambers is on loan at Craven Cottage for the season from the Gunners and as such won't be involved on New Year's Day at the Emirates Stadium.
Fellow defender Alfie Mawson was forced off with a knee injury in the win over Huddersfield last time out and is rated as a doubt.
Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa has missed the last three games through injury and the game against Arsenal comes too soon for the midfielder.
The Cottagers ended a six-game winless run by seeing off relegation rivals Huddersfield last time out and midfielder Tom Cairney has urged his side to kick on after picking up a much-needed three points.
“It’s a massive relief,” he told the club website. “I think we had to win that game and the boys, especially second half, were brilliant.
“We were banging on the door for a while and it took until the end of the game to win it, but it’s moments like that which boost your morale and turn seasons around, so hopefully that’ll be the case for us."
