Parker not the only option for Fulham

21st March 2019, 13:04 by Gareth Freeman

Scott Parker remains the favourite to take charge of Fulham on a permanent basis but the Cottagers are considering other options.

Parker was placed in temporary charge until the end of the season after the sacking of Claudio Ranieri and has indicated he is keen to remain on a permanent basis.

Fulham have lost all three games since the former England international became boss, but performances have improved and a number of players have publicly backed the 38-year-old.

It seems as if Parker isn't the only name in the frame, however, as the Evening Standard reports Kilmarnock manager Steve Clarke is under consideration.

Clarke, 55, has previously managed Reading and West Brom and picked up the Scottish Football Writers' Association Manager of the Year award last season.

Bristol City boss Lee Johnson and former Huddersfield manager David Wagner have also been mooted as potential targets should Fulham opt against offering Parker a permanent deal.
