No Besiktas return on cards for Babel
Turkish outfit Besiktas will resist the temptation to try and re-sign Ryan Babel from Fulham this summer, according to reports.
The 32-year-old Netherlands intentional, who has scored three goals in 11 Premier League appearances since joining the Cottagers from Besiktas in January, will become a free agent at the end of the season
Babel is set to leave Fulham following their relegation from the Premier League and his agent suggested earlier in the week that he had several options both in England and abroad open to him.
Fenerbahce and Galatasaray have both been heavily linked with a swoop to take Babel back to Turkey, while there had been talk that Besiktas could try and offer him a new deal.
But Turkish newspaper Sozcu has reported that club officials are not keen to take the former Liverpool man back to the Vodafone Arena because of the way he conducted himself in his previous two-year spell.
However, as we previously reported, Besiktas are keen to re-sign goalkeeper Fabri from Fulham when the transfer window re-opens this summer.
