Pen duty still Mitrovic's - Ranieri
Claudio Ranieri says Aleksandar Mitrovic will remain Fulham's penalty taker despite his miss in Sunday's 2-1 FA Cup loss to Oldham.
Serbia international Mitrovic failed to convert a penalty inside the final 10 minutes at Craven Cottage before the League Two visitors snatched a late winner to add to the weekend of cup shocks.
The former Newcastle player proved Fulham's hero when netting a last-gasp winner in the 1-0 home victory over Huddersfield on December 29, with that strike coming after Aboubakar Kamara defied team orders to take - and miss - a penalty earlier in the game.
With Mitrovic himself now missing from the spot, there were suggestions he would be taken off those duties but Ranieri has thrown his full support behind the striker.
"I wanted Aleksandar to take the penalty," he said. "He's our penalty taker and it was just unfortunate that he missed, especially after what happened previously.
"But I will definitely back him to take the next one. I have no problems with that, or Aleksandar."
