Boro set to swoop for Van La Parra
Championship side Middlesbrough are on the verge of tying up a January loan move for Huddersfield star Rajiv van La Parra.
The 27-year-old Dutch winger, who joined the Terriers on an initial loan deal from Wolves in 2015, played a big part in the side's promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs in 2016-17, and then scored four goals in 33 top-flight outings last term.
However, Van La Parra has fallen out of favour at the John Smith's Stadium in the first half of this season, with just five league appearances to date.
He was linked with a move to Boro in the summer but a deal failed to materialise at the time as he wanted to stay and fight for his place.
However, with game-time hard to come by it seems Van La Parra will drop down to the Championship to try and get the Teessiders' season back on track.
Tony Pulis' side have struggled for goals so far this term, with only four teams in the division with less than their tally of 25, while they have picked up just one win in five and were dumped out of the Carabao Cup in the quarter-finals by League One Burton earlier this month.
Reports claim Van La Parra will have a medical this week and be available to make his debut at Derby on New Year's Day.
