Hefele move 'correct option' - Wagner
Huddersfield's decision to sell Michael Hefele to Nottingham Forest was the correct one for everyone, according to David Wagner.
The 27-year-old German defender, who was a regular for the Terriers during their Championship promotion campaign, has agreed a three-year contract at the City Ground and will hope to help Forest to promotion to the Premier League this season.
Hefele, who joined Town in the summer of 2016 from Dynamo Dresden, was restricted to just two appearances in the Premier League last season due to a knee injury and Wagner feels his departure is the right move for all concerned.
"Michael and I have discussed what's best for him and the club throughout pre-season and I believe this transfer is the correct option for everyone," Wagner told Town's official website.
"He is a player that I cannot guarantee game time to this coming season and that is why he will now join Nottingham Forest.
"We all know what Hef can bring to the pitch and what a superb character he is too, so I am sure he will be a big success at his new club."
