Huddersfield challenge excites Siewert
New boss Jan Siewert has admitted he's "excited" to take charge of his first game when Huddersfield entertain Everton later.
The German takes charge of the Terriers for the first time when the Toffees visit the John Smith's Stadium and Siewert will be aiming to lift the gloom around the club with a win.
Town are rock-bottom of the Premier League, 10 points from safety, and former Borussia Dortmund reserve coach Siewert faces a huge challenge to try and keep them up.
However, the new man in charge is in a positive mood and, after taking his new squad away for some warm-weather training this week in Portugal, says he's looking forward to experiencing leading his side at home against Everton.
Siewert says the fans can play their part and he's ready for the challenge to begin.
"The fans at this club are very special and they give a certain atmosphere," he said.
"That’s why I’m excited."
