Payne hints at permanent Terriers exit
Jack Payne has hinted that he could depart Huddersfield this summer after a successful loan spell with Blackburn.
The 23-year-old agreed to join Oxford on a season-long loan deal last summer, however, he was recalled by Huddersfield in January after netting seven goals in 34 appearances.
The Terriers agreed to send the midfielder back out on loan later that month to Blackburn and he enjoyed an exciting second half of the term, which ended with promotion to the Championship.
Payne still has one-year left to run with Huddersfield but he has admitted that he would be interested in returning to Ewood Park if a deal can be struck.
"I have really enjoyed my time here, I think it is a great club, a massive club and it can help me improve if I was to come back here so we will see what happens," Payne said.
"I am finished for the summer, I have another year at Huddersfield so I am not too sure what will happen - I will speak to them and see what their plans are for next season.
"For now I am just going to enjoy the promotion."
