Slovak star's coach expects him to stay

7th January 2019, 12:44 by Simon Barlow

Viktoria Plzen coach Pavel Vrba expects Huddersfield Town target Patrik Hrosovsky to stay with the club for the rest of the season.

Town watched the 26-year-old midfielder play against Roma in December, leading to speculation they could be lining him up for a January move.

Spanish clubs Levante and Getafe were also there to watch him, while Dinamo Moscow were reportedly hot on the player's trail, although the rumours have subsequently gone cold.

The Slovakian star trained with Plzen on Saturday as the Czech club returned after their winter break and nothing has changed for Hrososvsky over the last few weeks, according to coach Vrba.

"I do not have the information that he is going anywhere," he told Sport.cz.

"I am glad he is in the squad, he was doing fantastic work in the autumn, and I do not want to speculate."

Hrosovsky has two-and-a-half years left on his contract with Plzen and they have European football to look forward to in February when they play Dinamo Zagreb in the Europa League last-32.
