Sobhi unlikely to seal Terriers exit
Ramadan Sobhi's agent says his client will return to Huddersfield this summer and isn't close to joining loan side Al Ahly permanently.
The Egypt international has barely featured for the Terriers since joining on a three-year deal from Stoke City last summer and was loaned out to Egyptian side Al Ahly during the last transfer window.
The 22-year-old has done well for the Red Giant since moving back to his homeland and they are understood to be keen on him remaining with them beyond the end of his loan deal.
However, Huddersfield coach Jan Siewert is keen to see all his squad in the flesh before making a decision on their futures and Sobhi's agent says there is little chance of him joining Al Ahly permanently.
"Ahly management didn't start negotiations over extending the loan deal of Sobhi," he told Egyptian newspaper Al-Ahram.
"Sobhi is part of Huddersfield's squad and they are the only side to decide the player's future. Sobhi's loan from Huddersfield to Ahly will be finished 1 July."
