Terriers in talks over Addicks hitman Grant
In-demand Charlton striker Karlan Grant is reportedly in talks with Huddersfield over a transfer to the Premier League strugglers.
The 21-year-old, who has scored 14 goals for the League One Addicks so far this term, has been linked with a host of teams in this transfer window, with Championship trio Middlesbrough, Brentford and Millwall all believed to be keeping a close eye on him.
However, it appears the Terriers have stolen a march on those clubs by making a firm move to try and negotiate a transfer ahead of next Thursday's deadline.
New head coach Jan Siewert, who penned a two-and-a-half-year contract at the John Smith's Stadium after replacing the outgoing David Wagner, is aware that new striker options are required in the squad.
But with Town sitting 10 points adrift of safety with 15 games remaining, it is possible the West Yorkshire outfit will look to take Grant with one eye on being back in the Championship next season.
