Zanka reveals Terriers first-team hopes
Mathias 'Zanka' Jorgensen is hoping to stay in Huddersfield's first team at West Ham after featuring in the defeat against Bournemouth.
The Denmark international defender was thrust back into head coach Jan Siewert's starting XI against the Cherries at the John Smith's Stadium on Saturday when Terence Kongolo was forced to miss out because of a hip injury.
As we reported on Tuesday, Kongolo is one of three players set to be fit in time for Saturday's Premier League trip to face the Hammers at the London Stadium.
And Zanka, who had missed the win against Wolves and defeat to Brighton before returning against Bournemouth, is hoping to stay in the side alongside Christopher Schindler at centre back despite the 2-0 reverse.
However, the 25-year-old will back Siewert's decision and his team-mates if he is one of the players to make way in any changes.
Zanka told the Examiner: "You get a win, like we did last time, of course the coach is not going to make any changes.
"So yeah, I fully accept that and of course I'm just rooting for the best for the team.
"So I was happy to be out there again and we'll see next week what happens then."
