Christmas haul good enough for Puel
Leicester boss Claude Puel says his side can be pleased with their exploits over Christmas.
The Foxes caused a couple of surprises by beating both Chelsea and Manchester City but in typically inconsistent style, lost at home to Cardiff on Saturday, missing a penalty in the process.
However, six points from three games cannot be sniffed at and they now switch focus to the New Year's Day trip to Everton.
When quizzed on his side's recent exploits, Puel said that he was pleased by what they had gained from the three games around Christmas.
However, he also conceded that losing the game they were expected to win against Cardiff had left a bitter taste in his mouth.
"It's not bad to take six points from those three games, but there was frustration here, we made another strong game," he said.
"Playing away at Chelsea and Manchester City was a challenge, and a pleasure to have taken something from those games.
"Those games were fantastic and we knew it was important to try and win a third game, but football sometimes is difficult.
"For me, the most important game was the one against Cardiff. Because we were at home, it was the first game of the second half of the season."
