Fans Vichai tribute praised by skipper
Wes Morgan hailed the Leicester City fans' tribute to late owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha during the victory over Bournemouth.
Vichai would have celebrated his 61st birthday on April 4 and in the 61st minute of the 2-0 triumph over the Cherries, the Foxes faithful paid their respects by singing his name.
The Thai businessman has been credited with turning the club around, not only financially but with the atmosphere among the staff, but he, along with four others, was killed when the helicopter carrying him crashed shortly after take off outside the King Power Stadium in October last year.
While Leicester has recovered after the tragedy, nobody will ever forget his impact on the club and city, and Morgan felt both the result and supporters' reaction in the ground were fitting tributes to Vichai.
"The boys went out to the ceremony in Thailand in the international break and we paid our respects," he told the club's website. "Obviously, we returned [last weekend], and we always want to put a good performance in but that one was for Vichai, definitely.
"I was glad to see the fans all standing up on the 61st minute and all singing his praises."
