Justin says pre-season key for squad spirit
Leicester City new boy James Justin says the club’s pre season tour to France is vital for the squad to bond before the new campaign.
The full-back joined Brendan Rodgers' side for £8million from Luton Town, becoming the first signing through the door at the King Power Stadium this summer.
Rodgers has since snapped up Ayoze Perez for £30million, while a deal to make Youri Tielemans' loan deal permanent was then struck for a fee in the region of £40million.
The squad are now in France and face Scunthorpe United in their first pre-season match on Tuesday.
And Justin says the intensity of the tour so far has proven to be very beneficial.
"It's been a really productive week for me and all the other lads. We've got our hard work in since we've been here," he told the club's official website.
"On Monday, it was double and Tuesday was double, and yesterday we had an 11 vs. 11 on a full-size [pitch], which was our first [here].
"It's been really good to get the minutes into our legs and recovery today, although we did do a bit of gym work. It's good going into the rest of the week.
"It's key for team spirit too. We've been doing lots of work out here on building our team value and trying to create a team motto together."
