Leicester end Tarkowski pursuit
Leicester are no longer looking to sign James Tarkowski as they are not prepared to match Burnley's £40million valuation.
The Foxes are on the hunt for a new centre half after Harry Maguire's world record £80m move to Manchester United.
Despite securing the huge fee for the England international, Leicester will not be held to ransom over Tarkowski and they feel the Clarets' price tag doesn't represent value.
Bournemouth's Nathan Ake has also been suggested as a target but the Cherries are demanding £75m for the Dutchman and the King Power Stadium club are not prepared to fork out such a fee for the 24-year-old.
Reports have now suggested the Foxes are exploring other options and could seek to sign a player on loan, either from the UK or abroad, to boost their options at the heart of defence before Thursday's transfer deadline.
