Leshabela eyes first-team chance
Leicester City youngster Khanya Leshabela believes he can keep progressing at the Foxes after signing fresh terms this week.
The 19-year-old agreed a new three-and-a-half year contract with the Foxes after some impressive performances for the club's Under-23 side.
He joined the club's academy in March 2013 and has since represented the club at Under-18s and Under-23s level, as well as in the 2016/17 UEFA Youth League.
Leshabela has already been named in the first-team squad this season and now wants to go one step further after putting pen to paper.
He told LCFC TV: "This is great for me and my family. I’ve worked hard to get this and I’m just grateful to be given such an opportunity. This is the hard bit right now! I’m just looking to push forward and push into the first team.
"It’s gone really quick. It literally just flies by. It’s been a good journey and I just want to stay in the game for many more years.
"[The Academy staff] have been so supportive and helpful and I’m grateful for all the coaches that I’ve had in the past over my time at the Club."
