Maddison delighted with Rodgers

26th March 2019, 09:56 by James Mason

James Maddison has praised the work Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers is doing with the young players at the club.

Rodgers left his post at Celtic to take charge at King Power Stadium on February 26, replacing Claude Puel, and the Northern Irishman has picked up two wins from his first three games.

The Foxes return to Premier League action on Saturday when they play host to Bournemouth and England Under-21 international Maddison is hoping to maintain his good run of form.

Despite only working with the new manager for a short space of time, the 22-year-old, who arrived from Norwich City last summer, says the impact Rodgers has had already is massive.

"He's been very good, I feel like I'm in good form and it's always nice to come to the international break in good form," Maddison was quoted as saying by the Leicester Mercury. "He's a top manager and has a great CV.

"He's come in, sat everyone down and has a way of playing. He's been brilliant for the young lads and it's been really positive."
