Maddison delighted with upbeat Leicester mood
James Maddison says the whole Leicester City squad is buzzing and are enjoying working with Brendan Rodgers.
Northern Irishman Rodgers was recently appointed as the Foxes' new boss, replacing the sacked Claude Puel, and the 46-year-old landed his first win at the second attempt with a 3-1 victory against Fulham last time out.
Next up for Leicester is a trip to Burnley on Saturday and England Under-21 international Maddison, who is expected to be included in Gareth Southgate's senior squad on Wednesday, says the players cannot wait to get back out on the pitch.
"We want the next game to come as quickly as possible, especially after a good performance," he told LCFC TV. "We'll recover, we'll rest up and we'll get back to training again.
"The more we work with the gaffer on the pitch, the more we're going to see his style and his philosophy come into action on the field. We look forward to that and there’s a real good feel good factor around the club at the minute, so hopefully this is a sign of things to come."
James Mason grew up in Northumberland so is entrenched in both the football and golf scenes. A low handicap golfer, he also follows Newcastle United and predicts big things under Rafa Benitez.
