Maguire delighted to have Rodgers on board
Harry Maguire believes Leicester have shown ambition after confirming the appointment of Brendan Rodgers on Tuesday.
The Foxes parted company with Claude Puel on Sunday after just 16 months in charge following a run of seven games without victory.
They confirmed the appointment of Rodgers, who left his post at Celtic, on Tuesday prior to their home clash with Brighton.
Rodgers watched on from the stands as Leicester returned to winning ways with a 2-1 triumph over the Seagulls.
Maguire has hailed an ambitious move from the club and feels Rodgers is the perfect fit to mould a squad full of talented youngsters.
"It shows great ambition from the Club," Maguire told Leicester's official website.
"Straight away, no hanging about, one that all the lads in there are all looking forward to.
"We've got a young squad here and he brings through a lot of young players so it's a perfect fit and like I said, from me and the boys, we're really looking forward to it so let's crack on."
Rodgers will only have a few days to work with the squad before they travel to take on an in-form Watford at Vicarage Road on Sunday.
