No complacency from in-form Pereira
Leicester City right-back Ricardo Pereira believes he still has more to prove despite his impressive start to life at the club.
The 25-year-old is determined to build on his recent form after helping the Foxes climb into seventh in the Premier League.
Pereira has scored two goals in 18 appearances in the league this year but has played a big part in Leicester's recent success during the festive period, setting up Jamie Vardy's winner at Everton.
After his summer move from Porto, Pereira now finally feels settled in England and he believes there is more to come from him.
He told Foot Mercato: "To continue to do better day after day, match after match, improve myself again and again, become more and more important to the team.
"I won’t cut corners and the rest will follow. The goal of the club is to try to finish as high as possible in the standings, to try to be as close as possible to the top six, with the best clubs.
"We will try to fight for seventh place. The championship is long, we must take matches one after another and to collect as many points as possible.
"We will then take stock to see what we can strive for."
