Rodgers targets striker raid
Leicester are being linked with a move for Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos when the transfer window opens.
Morelos has been a revelation for Rangers when firing home 46 goals in 86 appearances north of the border and new Foxes boss Brendan Rodgers will have seen close up what he is capable of.
The 22-year-old's performances have caught the eye of clubs throughout Europe and now Rodgers is in charge it is no surprise to see Leicester also being linked.
Rangers will fight to keep hold, but their former star Alex Rae thinks a move is inevitable and thinks Leicester would be a good fit.
“Look at the goals he has got this year," rae said. "He is 22 and the development he has undergone in the last year has been remarkable.
“I think he will go to a stepping stone club. A club like Leicester would be a good move. Look at [Virgil] Van Dijk and [Victor] Wanyama – that is the career path Morelos will be looking to take.
"He won’t go from Rangers straight to a top four or top six team.”
