Rodgers wants permanent Tielemans deal
Manager Brendan Rodgers is eager for midfielder Youri Tielemans to stay with Leicester after his loan deal expires.
Tielemans, 21, moved from Monaco in January on a six-month loan deal that saw Adrien Silva go in the opposite direction and he has put in a series of superb displays for the East Midlanders.
The Belgium international has started seven Premier League games and provided the pass for Jamie Vardy to tuck away Leicester's second goal as they beat Bournemouth 2-0 on Saturday.
Sections of the home faithful were heard chanting "sign him up" after his third assist in City colours, while he has also netted a solitary goal in a 3-1 win over Fulham.
There are certain to be negotiations over the youngster's future during the summer and Rodgers hopes the outcome is positive.
"He had arrived here just before I came and you can see he's a top-class young talent, but I always have to respect he's a Monaco player," said the Northern Irishman.
"I'm sure there will be discussions between the two of us and we'll see where their intentions are. He's certainly a player that I would love to continue working with."
