Tielemans excited by England opportunity

1st February 2019, 08:25 by Alex Jack

New Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans says he's looking forward to the chance to test himself in the Premier League.

The talented Belgium intentional secured a deadline-day move from Monaco to King Power Stadium and will be a Foxes player on loan for the remainder of the season.

Tielemans has admitted he is a big admirer of the top flight in England and is relishing the chance to impress in one of the toughest competitions in the game.

"The Premier League is one of the best leagues in the world and when I was young, I always watched Premier League games. I'm really happy to be here and I'm excited to get started," said Tielemans upon the completion of the deal.

As part of the deal that saw Tielemans arrive in the East Midlands, Adrien Silva has moved in the opposite direction on the same loan terms, having completed his medical at Monaco on Wednesday.
