Turkish clubs dealt blow as Rodgers remains patient with star
Leicester City are set to ignore interest from Turkish clubs for Caglar Soyuncu after Brendan Rodgers said he would give him more time.
The £19million signing had his best game in a Leicester shirt last weekend as the Foxes kept up their bid for a top-seven finish in the Premier League by beating relegated Huddersfield 4-1 at the John Smith's Stadium.
Besiktas tried to lure him away with a loan bid in January and Fenerbahce have also been linked to the ex-Stuttgart star in the Turkish press.
The 22-year-old's first-team prospects have not been helped by the news that veteran club captain Wes Morgan is penning a one-year extension and Filip Benkovic looks set to return this summer after a season-long loan at Rodgers' former club Celtic.
But the Northern Irishman is ready to give Soyuncu more time to prove himself in the Premier League.
He said: "It didn't help he didn't speak much English at first. Adaption is important so I like to give them time to find their feet and settle in, knowing even in this first year he is adapting."
