9th August 2018, 19:37 by Alex Jack

Leicester striker Jamie Vardy has signed on a four-year deal on the day defender Caglar Soyuncu pens a contract with the Foxes.

On the eve on Vardy's seventh season at Leicester, the England international has decided to commit his future at the King Power Stadium.

Vardy has been a key figure with the East Midlands outfit and was vital in their Premier League title-winning season in 2015-16.

Speaking to LCFC.com, Vardy said: "Everybody knows how I feel about playing for this Football Club and it's a great feeling to know that I can look forward to another four years as a Leicester City player.

"The journey that me, the team and the Club have been on in the past few years has been incredible. Going into the new season, it's an exciting time for Leicester City and I'm delighted to be part of it."

Meanwhile, Leicester managed to get a deal over the line on Thursday evening as they secured the services of Turkey international Soyuncu on a five-year deal from Freiburg.
