Villarreal snap up Iborra for £9million
Villarreal have completed the £9million signing of Vicente Iborra from Leicester, after the Foxes dropped their valuation.
The two clubs are understood to have eventually settled on a fee of 10m euros, with Villarreal originally asking for a six-month loan deal with a view to the permanent signing of the 30-year-old midfielder.
Leicester had set their asking price at 15m euros, the fee they paid Sevilla for him in 2017, so it's thought the Foxes had to drop their valuation by 33 per cent in the end.
Iborra is expected to start training with the Yellow Submarine soon and should be available for their Copa del Rey clash with Espanyol on Wednesday.
He leaves Leicester after 27 Premier League appearances and three goals in one and a half seasons, but his family apparently failed to settle in England and a return to Spain has been inevitable for some time.
