Alexander-Arnold leaves England squad
Trent Alexander-Arnold has pulled out of the England squad and returned to Liverpool for treatment on a back injury.
The 20-year-old had been included in Gareth Southgate's squad for the Euro 2020 qualifiers against the Czech Republic and Montenegro, but will play no part in either game.
Alexander-Arnold was carrying the injury when he linked up with the rest of the Three Lions squad, and although he is said to have made progress, he was unlikely to be risked in either game.
Therefore he has returned to Liverpool to undergo further treatment with a view to being fully fit when the Reds continue their Premier League title push against.
England have yet to call up a replacement, leaving Southgate with a 22-man squad for the clash with the Czechs at Wembley on Friday night and the clash in Montenegro on Monday.
