Alexander-Arnold enjoying trophy hunt

16th April 2019, 12:58 by Aidan Perkins

Trent Alexander-Arnold says Liverpool are enjoying their busy schedule as they go for glory in both the Premier League and Europe.

The Reds are 90 minutes away from making the Champions League semi-finals, while they sit two points clear of Manchester City in the domestic title race.

Following Sunday's 2-0 win over Chelsea, Jurgen Klopp's side go to Porto on Wednesday, defending a 2-0 first-leg lead, and full-back Alexander-Arnold is relishing the challenge of the big games coming thick and fast.

"It's always about momentum in football," he said on the club's website. "When you're in amongst the wins and grinding out the results, you can't wait to get to the next game."

Looking ahead to the midweek trip to Portugal, the defender says Liverpool are hoping to enjoy another trouble-free evening after hammering the same opponents 5-0 in the last 16 there last year.

He added: "Obviously we have fond memories of Porto last season, so we're looking to go there and hopefully replicate what we've done.

"We know it's going to be tough, it's going to be a difficult test for us. Hopefully we'll go there and keep up the momentum."
