Italy calling for Lovren
Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren is reportedly a target for both Napoli and Roma heading into the summer transfer window.
The Croatia international was a regular for the Reds over the first half of the season but has been absent for the majority of 2019, missing 10 weeks since picking up a hamstring injury in the FA Cup defeat at Wolves.
The 29-year-old made his return to action for Croatia during the international break, starting their shock loss to Hungary in a Euro 2020 qualifier, and could be involved when Liverpool take on Tottenham this Sunday.
Despite being a favourite of boss Jurgen Klopp and still having two years left to run on his current contract, it is understood that Lovren is attracting plenty of interest from teams in Serie A.
Both Napoli and Roma fear losing their star defenders during the summer transfer window with Kalidou Koulibaly likely to depart Naples, while Kostas Manolas could be priced away from Rome.
Should one or both of those men leave then they could test Liverpool's resolve to keep Lovren, who is facing stiff competition for a starting spot at the heart of the Reds defence with Joel Matip and Joe Gomez also in contention to partner Virgil van Dijk.
