Midfielder boost for Reds
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has given a positive injury update on Fabinho ahead of the Huddersfield clash on Friday night.
The already relegated Terriers visit Anfield on Friday as the race for the Premier League title goes down to the wire, and the Reds could find themselves back in second spot by the time they take to the pitch.
Manchester City play their game in hand on Wednesday night when they travel to arch rivals Manchester United with Liverpool fans, as well as the players as James Milner has already admitted, doing the unthinkable and cheering on United.
On the face of it, a home clash with an already relegated Huddersfield side should be straightforward but nothing is easy at this stage of a title race and having Fabinho available will be a major plus for Klopp.
He was substituted in the win over Cardiff after a clash of heads and Klopp admitted he couldn't take any chances with head injuries so off he came.
However, he will be fit for Friday night's game although whether he plays or not is open to question.
Liverpool play the first leg of their Champions League clash with Barcelona on Wednesday of next week week and Klopp may decide to rest some of his star players ahead of that game.
It may be seen as a gamble by Klopp and if Huddersfield were to take anything from the match, it could end Liverpool's hopes of a first title since 1989.
However, the league table doesn't lie and punters may wish to use their free bet to back Liverpool to see off Huddersfield on Friday night.
