Milner demands strong finish

18th April 2019, 19:22 by Tom Hill

Liverpool playmaker James Milner believes his side will need to win all their remaining Premier League matches to lift the title.

The Reds currently lead the way but rivals Manchester City are just two points behind them and have a game in hand.

After hosting Spurs this weekend, Pep Guardiola's men may have to come through their midweek game against Manchester United in order to move in front and Milner expects them to make no mistakes.

City now have to go all out for the league after being knocked out of the Champions League and Milner has urged his squad to do their own bit and pick up the 12 points that are available.

He told Sky Sports: "That's what we have to do and that's what we'll try to do. It's not easy, there are a lot of tough games coming up thick and fast.

"We're used to that, we do it all the time. We've been used to a game every three days for the majority of the season but like I say when there's a bit of added extra pressure on them towards the end of the season it maybe takes a bit more out of you mentally.

"But I think the team (Liverpool) has done fantastically all season and now we're just focusing on the next game."
