Oxlade-Chamberlain on verge of comeback
Liverpool's Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain may make a return to action for the U23s against Derby on Friday.
The midfielder is yet to feature this season after suffering ligament damage to his right knee during Liverpool's Champions League semi-final first-leg tie with Roma in April last year.
However, he's been recovering well recently and the England international has returned to training and could feature for the U23s on Friday against the Rams.
Manager Jurgen Klopp has previously suggested he wasn't expecting the 25-year-old to make a return this season given the severity of his injury but if Oxlade-Chamberlain plays on Friday and comes through unscathed he may play a part in the run-in as the Reds battle for the title.
Liverpool are one point behind league leaders Manchester City with nine games remaining.
