Liverpool braced for mega Coutinho bid

Liverpool playmaker Philippe Coutinho will reportedly be the subject of a huge improved fourth offer from Barcelona this month.

The Reds are still fighting to retain the services of the Brazilian, who is keen to move to the Nou Camp, and rebuffed three bids from the Spanish giants in the summer.

According to reports in Spain, this new offer will be worth £133million in total with Barca ready to give the Merseysiders £97.5million up front with £35.5m in add-ons.

Liverpool are thought to be extremely reluctant to let the 25-year-old leave midway through a season if they are to sell, especially after failing to persuade RB Leipzig to part with Naby Keita early having previously agreed for him to join this summer.

Coutinho was left out of the squad for the New Year's Day win at Burnley and could again be missing when Liverpool face Merseyside rivals Everton in the FA Cup third round on Friday.
