Reds issues positive Van Dijk update
Liverpool have been handed a boost with news defender Virgil van Dijk should to be fit for Friday's clash against Southampton.
The Dutch international suffered an ankle injury in the latter stages of the Reds' 2-1 victory over Tottenham on Sunday and there were concerns the former Celtic defender could be sidelined at a crucial part of the season.
However, reports have suggest the injury is not as bad as first feared and Van Dijk is still being assessed by the club's medical staff at the Melwood training facility.
It's believed the knock has caused nothing more than bruising and manager Jurgen Klopp should be able to call upon Van Dijk's services for the trip to St Mary's on Friday night.
