Van Dijk return boosts Reds
Liverpool defender Virgil Van Dijk took part in training on Tuesday ahead of the Southampton game.
The influential defender appeared to suffer a knock in the latter stages of Sunday's dramatic 2-1 win over Tottenham at Anfield, with Reds boss Jurgen Klopp admitting the injury needed to be assessed.
"I don't know if he twisted it or it was a knock, but he was walking into interviews with a big ice pack," he said immediately after the game. "I hope it is nothing serious but I don't know yet."
However any fears of Van Dijk having to spend a spell on the sidelines have now been allayed.
Images have appeared on Liverpool's official website on Tuesday of a training session that took place at Melwood that morning, with Van Dijk involved.
Liverpool face the Dutchman's former club Southampton at St Mary's on Friday evening and he looks sure to be in for a hot reception once again from the home fans.
