Juve open talks with City target Ndombele
Pep Guardiola could miss out on top transfer target Tanguy Ndombele after Juventus reportedly opened talks with the Lyon midfielder.
The Manchester City boss has publicly spoken of his admiration for the powerful 22-year-old, who twice impressed playing against his team earlier this season in the Champions League.
The Citizens are believed to have also made a £45m enquiry last summer following Jorginho's late snub in favour of a move to Chelsea.
Reports in Italy state Juventus officials have spoken to their Lyon counterparts on Ndombele, who are demanding a fee in the region of £85m to let him leave.
Guardiola has tasked his club with securing a long-term successor to Brazil veteran Fernandinho although he is also aware of some of the huge fees they are currently being quoted to fill the key position.
Barcelona squeezed City out of the race to sign £80m Ajax starlet Frenkie De Jong last month - and now it seems Juventus are looking to do exactly the same with Ndombele.
