French legend convinced Pogba will stay
Manchester United fans should not "worry" about Paul Pogba's future with the club, according to fellow Frenchman Robert Pires.
Manchester United fans don't need to "worry" about Paul Pogba leaving the club this summer, according to former France World Cup winner Robert Pires.
Rumours continue to circulate the Old Trafford midfielder could have his head turned if Real Madrid or Paris Saint-Germain come knocking during the close season.
Pogba was suspended for Wednesday's incredible Champions League 3-1 victory over the wealthy Parisian outfit, which saw the Manchester giants go through to the quarter-finals on away goals after the tie finished 3-3 on aggregate.
However, according to former Arsenal legend Pires, now a respected French TV pundit, Pogba will be staying at the Theatre of Dreams, which remains the best place for him.
Pires said: "Paul is the best player at United. I don't think United fans need to worry about him leaving the club.
"I think there was a time when he was eyeing a move to Barcelona and I wouldn't be surprised if his agent still is, but the best thing Paul could do would be to stay at Manchester United.
"He can continue to improve so much more at a club where he has stability and can be the main man on and off the pitch."
The 25-year-old Pogba has held recent private talks about his future with caretaker boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, with the Norwegian getting the best out of him since replacing Jose Mourinho back in December.
