Martial to be offered better terms to stay
Anthony Martial will reportedly be offered £170,000-per-week by Manchester United, with renewed optimism the winger will stay.
The Frenchman has held talks with the Red Devils in recent days over a new five-year deal, having hinted last summer he wanted out at the Theatre of Dreams.
United were recently forced to take up their option to extend Martial's deal by a further 12 months to prevent the talented 23-year-old from running down his contract this summer.
The former Monaco starlet, who cost United an initial £37million in 2015, earns around £115,000-per-week, so the improved pay offer from United is a significant financial upgrade on what had previously been discussed.
Jose Mourinho's sacking last month is also believed to have moved the goalposts, with the Portuguese an outspoken critic of Martial's consistency.
The forward is a mainstay for interim boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who has also got the player and his camp believing the good times are on their way back again to the red side of Manchester.
