Real rival United for Benfica's Felix
Real Madrid have emerged as a serious rival to Manchester United in the pursuit of Benfica starlet Joao Felix.
The Red Devils have been trailing the talented 19-year-old playmaker all season and were present again last weekend to see him score in the 4-2 derby victory over rivals Sporting Lisbon.
However, reports in Portugal have stated officials at Real have in recent days contacted super agent Jorge Mendes to try and help them negotiate down the £100million buyout clause in Felix's deal.
According to Portugal's Record newspaper, Mendes has already informed Benfica to expect huge summer offers from both Real and United.
Felix is likened in style to Manchester City and Portugal midfielder Bernardo Silva, who is someone the youngster has tried to model his game on.
United have had impressive scouting reports back on the Portugal under-21 player and won't welcome the arrival of Real on the scene, which will surely ramp up his price even further.
