Red Bull schemer Schlager on United's radar
Manchester United have been linked to Red Bull Salzburg midfielder Xaver Schlager after it emerged that scouts were watching him.
Reports in Austria claim scouts from United, Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Fiorentina will watch the Austrian international when Red Bull face LASK at the Pratzerl on Sunday.
The 21-year-old is having a fine season for last season's Europa League semi-finalists and has been operating in a deep-lying playmaker's role.
Schlager has scored four league goals in 18 starts, adding one further goal in seven Europa League games.
He is under contract until 2021 and was strongly linked to Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg at the end of March, although rumours also persist that he could tread a well-worn path from Salzburg to Leipzig.
