Reds boss hasn't ruled Sanchez out yet

3rd March 2019, 18:43 by Simon Barlow

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will wait on scan results before ruling Alexis Sanchez out of the clash with Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday.

The ex-Arsenal star is set for a scan on Sunday after injuring his knee during the early moments of the second half of United's 3-2 Premier League home win over Southampton.

Sanchez limped off after a block tackle from Saints defender Jan Bednarek and the initial signs didn't look good for him to be involved against Paris Saint-Germain at the Parc des Princes.

"We don’t know yet. He got a knock on his knee," Solskjaer said after the win, which moved the Red Devils into the top four.

"It might be his ligaments. We’ll do the scan tomorrow. Hopefully, it won’t be too bad but we won’t know until we’ve done the scans.

"Of course, we’ll have to wait until then."
