Romelu eyes quick exit

20th June 2019, 19:06 by Jack Ogalbe

Sources close to Manchester United are suggesting Romelu Lukaku wants his future sorted before the club's pre-season tour.

The Belgian appears intent on leaving Old Trafford but, after previously having his heart set on a switch to Juventus, he now favours a transfer to Inter Milan.

Lukaku's discontent centres around his lack of action under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who he feels does not see him as a regular member of the starting XI.

United are open to a deal but are keen to recoup most of the £75m they spent buying him from Everton in 2017.

Inter are believed to have made an initial bid although whether it matches the Red Devils' valuation remains to be seen.

The 26-year-old wants a speedy resolution as he is keen to spend the summer with his team-mates, whether that be in England or Italy.

United's squad returns for pre-season on July 1 and flies out to Perth, Australia on July 7.

The former Chelsea and Anderlecht man is determined to see his future settled by the time the team departs and has implored his representatives to get to work on a deal to take him to Serie A.
