United lose out in Maguire race
Manchester United have lost out to rivals Manchester City in the race to sign Harry Maguire, according to reports.
The Leicester City ace has been linked with a move to Manchester all summer, with the saga taking plenty of twists and turns.
Both clubs were thought to interest the England international but no firm bids have been made by either party as yet.
Reports with The Mirror claim United have now lost out on Maguire as he looks set to play under City chief Pep Guardiola.
The Red Devils were willing to beat City's contract offer but the former Sheffield United and Hull man has decided to reject their advances and is now dreaming of a move to the Etihad Stadium.
While Maguire may have slipped through the net, United have already signed Daniel James from Swansea City and are close to signing Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace.
