United watching Sancho's progress
Manchester United are taking a keen interest in Borussia Dortmund's England winger Jadon Sancho, according to reports.
The Red Devils already know plenty about the talented 18-year-old, who starred in the youth ranks for rivals Manchester City before he quit last summer in search of regular first-team football.
City were reluctantly forced to agree an £8m deal with Dortmund after the exciting prospect ran down his contract, which certainly left behind a sour taste for many inside the Etihad.
Sancho has lit up the Bundesliga this term and his form earned a first senior England cap against Croatia in the Nations League draw last October, with two further appearances since.
And now highly-placed sources at United have stated the teenager's name is already on a list of potential summer targets, with the club prioritising the signing of a right winger in the close season.
It is believed United intermediaries quickly attempted to learn what clauses were inserted into Sancho's transfer to Dortmund, with reports in Germany suggesting a 40 per cent sell-on clause was stipulated by City if the red side of Manchester came calling.
City are understood to have negotiated a first-option buy-back clause along with a 20 per cent sell-on, should Sancho decline a potential return to the Etihad and move elsewhere other than United.
Sancho is already valued at around £80m and United know Dortmund have previous for selling if the price is tempting enough, having sold France starlet Ousmane Dembele to Barcelona for £108m in 2017, just a year after he arrived from Rennes for £13m.
United also know Londoner Sancho is fiercely driven and even risking the further ire of City supporters might not be enough to dissuade him from entertaining a move to Old Trafford.
