Benitez has 'no idea' over transfers
Rafael Benitez claims he is worried at the prospect of not being given any transfer funds at Newcastle in the January transfer window.
The 58-year-old Spanish tactician has worked wonders at St James' Park since taking over in March 2016 after initially failing to avoid their relegation that season.
He guided the club back to the top flight as champions of the Championship in his first full season and then managed a top-10 top-flight finish last term.
Benitez has had limited funds during his tenure and his chances of being handed a sizeable kitty when the transfer window opens next week remains to be seen.
The 4-0 Boxing Day defeat at his former club Liverpool leaves his side 15th in the table - five points above the relegation places - but Benitez is still unaware what, if any, money he will be given to spend in the New Year to ensure they stay up.
And, when asked if any deals were lined up, he said: "No." Asked if that worried him, he added: "Yes."
