Benitez ready to splash the cash

Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez is hoping to sign Burnley's Dwight McNeil and Bournemouth's Ryan Fraser and David Brooks this summer.

Reports in England suggest the Spaniard is ready to splash the cash this summer in order to take the club to the next level.

Benitez has managed to steer the club away from the relegation zone, with Friday's 1-0 win over Leicester City moving them 10 points clear of the bottom three.

Newcastle now have four games left of their campaign and Benitez is now looking at the summer transfer window.

McNeil has enjoyed a superb campaign at Turf Moor, scoring three goals to help the club move away from the drop zone.

Bournemouth are also expecting bids for their key midfield duo, with Fraser and Brooks proving their worth on the south coast.

Newcastle are set to lose Isaac Hayden as he wants to return down south, while Jonjo Shelvey is looking for more first-team football. As a result, Newcastle are ready to bring in three wide players, with Brooks, Fraser and McNeil all at the top of their wishlist.
