Benitez without Longstaff for Everton battle
Newcastle United will be without midfielder Scott Longstaff for this weekend's meeting with Everton.
The club's academy product has been a key member of the team since he made his debut earlier this year but he is now out for the season.
Longstaff suffered a knee ligament injury against West Ham United last week and he will now face three months on the sidelines.
Rafa Benitez is also without centre-back Ciaran Clark due to a knee problem, while goalkeeper Rob Elliot is still struggling with a back issue.
The Magpies have lost five of the past six Premier League meetings between the pair, as well as successive defeats on home soil.
Their only win against Everton in the last 12 top flight encounters was a 3-2 home victory in December 2014.
