17th April 2019, 19:30 by Tom Hill

Newcastle centre-back Florian Lejeune has announced his operation has been a success after he went under the knife in Italy.

The Frenchman is set to be on the sidelines until October after suffering another knee injury during the 1-0 defeat against Crystal Palace.

Lejuene has been plagued by injuries this season after injuring his other knee in pre-season. He was ruled out for five months before returning and making 12 appearances in the top flight.
